Our Stall Superstars: Take 3

Our next stall superstar is the stunning Sally Burch, who created the pattern for her Scruffy Ponies from scratch, based on toys her great aunt used to make!

They come in every possibly hue and each and every pony is handmade with love.

Sally has poured heart and soul into these colourful creations, and has even taken the time to walk us step by step through the creative process, via her blog! Please see the link below:

We currently have a herd of 11 gorgeous little ponies available on the Make ME stall looking for new pastures!

Why not come along to the stall and give one a nice new home for Christmas, or visit http://www.makemecrafts.com/A-Scruffy-Pony-for-ME.html to buy through the Make ME website? You can choose your colours or take your chances with the "pot-luck" pony selection process. You never know what stunning little creature may turn up on your doorstep!

Don't forget: our next stall is tomorrow! 'Unique' at The Spring Arts and Heritage Centre in Havant, 10:30 - 15:00.

Our Stall Superstars: Take 2

Our next featured crafter is the wonderfully talented Trudi Berridge, who very generously donated a large quantity of jewellery for our first stall.

We originally had around 200 bracelets, necklackes, brooches, rings and keyrings from her, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Invest in ME!

These colourful creations have proven to be very popular and continue to sell well at our events.

With Christmas on the approach they'd make excellent stocking fillers!

We even have a range of Christmas themed ones, with reindeer charms or little bottles full of tiny candy canes! These will feature on the stall from November onwards.

Many thanks go out to Trudi for all her hard work. You're a stall superstar, really "doing it for ME!"

Don't forget our next stall is a week today - 27th October 2012 at The Spring in Havant! Please see our events page for more details.

Our Stall Superstars: Take 1

In the lead up to Christmas I thought it might be nice to remind people what we've got available from our wonderful sellers via Make ME, both on the stall and online.

It wouldn't hurt to pay tribute to these wonderful people "doing it for M.E." and call attention to their outstanding talents, inspirational strength and their courage in crafting for research, either!

First on our list (which I stress is in no particular order) is the Kent clan, who have been plastering the Make ME Facebook page with a dizzying array of creations in their ever expanding enterprise!

Maddison Kent started making bracelets just a few months ago to raise funds for Invest in ME. In that short time the Kent family have gone craft mad, now selling cushion covers, wooden signs, hanging heart decorations, bunting, Christmas decorations, stockings, keyrings and more!

Through their creative efforts the Kent family have managed to raise just under £1,000 via their Just Giving page alone!

To check out her stunning range of available crafts just take a look at Maddi's albums on the Make ME Facebook page.

Some of the Kent Crafts are available to purchase via the Make ME website. For any that aren't please contact them for details through Maddi's own page: https://www.facebook.com/Maddikentbracelets4me (and give her a big like while you're there!)

Post stall blog - Bedhampton 29th September

Just a quick blog to say that our recent stall at All That's Vintage, Craft, Gift and Collectors in Bedhampton went well, despite it being glorious sunshine outside again!

We handed out several business cards and leaflets (from Make ME/LDIFME and IiME), increased local awareness, raised enough to cover the cost of the stall and made roughly £20 for Invest in ME as well!

We also had several great donations, including a portion of the raffle takings from the organisers and a couple of really sweet handmade children's cushions from a local lady (they have little kangaroo pouches for cuddly toys!).

Hopefully, once sunbathing is off the table, we'll see an increase in visitors. And with Christmas coming up these are exactly the kind of gifts people are looking for. Something different, unique and hand-crafted. Little stocking fillers. Christmas cards. All sorts of weird and wonderful crafts, one of a kind items or bespoke/personalised orders.

All in aid of charity! Helping to fund vital biomedical research into M.E!
