Be ME Valentine?

With our foggy brains it's often hard to keep track of our rapidly passing time, so here's a reminder:

"Don't forget about love
at this special time of year."

With Valentine's Day in a mere 10 days time it's important to pay tribute to the people and things we love.

Show people how much we care for them, rekindle lost passions, revisit things you used to love or give something new a chance!

It doesn't matter if it's a person, animal, plant, mineral or theoretical concept - get some love in your life!

For those with loves ones why not treat them (or yourself!) to some of our gorgeous handmade goods, and help raise vital funds for biomedical research at the same time? We have lots of love themed crafts available, and even more sparkly things and gorgeous goodies that make you go "Ooooooooh!". Have a gander at just a small selection of what contributors are selling for charity!

Kelly's Kitch has some gorgeous love heart jewellery available, with spoons, wings of hope and the M.E. ribbon to help raise awareness. Bag charms and more are available through Facebook.

Stuck for cards? Never fear! Eleri Haf Designs and Puresunrays Cards have got it covered!

Give your Mum some big love before Mother's Day with these special lavender hearts (left) from Hand Sewn (also available blank, should your mother not deserve such extravagance! :P)

Or why not check out the new range of jewellery available from 100 Birdies for ME (right)? They're spooning the season away with loved ones, so why don't you?

This is just a tiny portion of what our Make MEers have created, so please do check out even more via the website and on Facebook and get a special someone, even if that special someone is you, a special Valentine's treat.

If you're spending the season alone don't fret! You can still find love: Love of a new hobby or interest! Why not give some kind of craft a go?

Many people with chronic illness struggle to achieve tasks and end up having to break things down into chunks. Unfortunately, this can't be done with a great number of hobbies and undertakings available to other people.

But all is not lost! There are still things we CAN do, bit by bit, as and when we feel up to it. For some ideas of what you could do just follow this blog! We'll be updating regularly with crafty new ideas for the new year. You may even find a long-lost passion or replace a hobby you can no longer do, and get that productive "I've accomplished something" feeling back in your life!

Whatever you get up to this month, try to fill as many moments as possible with love and appreciation of all kinds!

Love and peace to you all, from Foggy bear and his crafty crew.
